Run from the Tax Man

It's spring in the Texas Hill Country, and it's heating up.  What do runners/walkers do to stay COOL?  Join us for a beautiful run or walk over and along Cypress Creek in Comfort, TX.  The course is 80% in the shade and follows the creek the entire course.  The mild mornings in the hill country, along with the waterfront, create the perfect setting for a run or walk.

Make it a perfect day by visiting some of the many antique stores, gift shops, restaurants or wineries in the small community.  Take a walk on High St. to see several historic buildings and antique stores.  Drive the hill country roads to view spectacular wildflowers.  Come the night before and stay in a quaint bed and breakfast or hotel.  Comfort has so much to offer.

Proceeds from the race will benefit Texas Lions Camp in Kerrville and Boys & Girls Club in Comfort. 

Texas Lions Camp is a residential camping facility for children with physical disabilities, type 1 diabetes and cancer. Children with special needs from all over the State of Texas are invited to attend one of 9 weeks, which we hope will become one of their life-long childhood memories. The children attend camp at no cost to them or their families.

Boys & Girls Clubs are safe places where kids and teens can learn and grow while having fun.  We provide programs from the Boys and Girls Club of America that help young people develop as citizens by instilling:

• a sense of belonging - where they fit in and are accepted
• a sense of usefulness - where they can perform service to others
• a sense of influence - where they are heard and help to make decisions
• a sense of competence - where they find things they can do well
